Our Doctors
Craig Cox
DVM
Owner of North Reading Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Craig Cox earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He completed his clinical training at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Ross. Dr. Cox has worked in the veterinary field since he was 16 years old. Experience as a veterinary technician prior to attending veterinary school has prepared Dr. Cox to understand all the roles within the veterinary team. A native of Woburn, Dr. Cox began his career as a doctor on the South Coast of Massachusetts at a busy small animal practice before returning to the North Shore. He has over 20 years of experience as a small animal veterinary practitioner, with special interests in emergency, geriatric and internal medicine. Dr. Cox lives locally with his wife and two children. He has two yellow labs named Russell and Pemi and 2 cats named Clover and Boulder. When not working, Dr. Cox enjoys spending time with his family and watching football and hockey.
Suzanne Kay
DVM
Dr. Suzanne Kay earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing her final clinical year at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr. Kay worked as a Veterinary Technician for several years prior to attending veterinary school. Having the experience as a veterinary technician Dr. Kay knows how important patient care and comfort are while visiting or staying in the hospital. She grew up in Nahant and has worked long term at several practices throughout Eastern Massachusetts, joining North Reading Veterinary Clinic part-time in 2019. Her special interests include veterinary dentistry and feline medicine. She lives locally with her family including 2 beautiful labradors, 2 cats and a bearded dragon. When not working she enjoys reading, being outdoors, time at the beach, and watching her kids play hockey and softball.
Stephanie Solinger
DVM
Dr. Stephanie Solinger earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She has practiced on the North Shore for the past 17 years as both an associate and a relief veterinarian. Her interests include feline and internal medicine. Dr. Solinger strives to provide individualized, detail-oriented care for patients of all ages and enjoys practicing medicine that encompasses all life stages.
Dr. Solinger lives locally with her family and a small menagerie of household pets that she lovingly calls the “scratch and dent crew”. Outside of her clinical duties, she enjoys gardening, baking, outdoor adventures with her children and tending to her flock of chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons and quail.
Our Staff
Parker
Parker started working at North Reading Veterinary Clinic in August of 2018. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, she decided to pursue her interest in veterinary medicine, a passion that started at a very young age when she would go to work with her mom at their local veterinary hospital. For her senior thesis, Parker produced and directed a documentary film investigating the differing cultural perspectives of dogs. She traveled to Puerto Rico, Texas and throughout the North East to conduct interviews and research for the film. Parker lives in Lynnfield with her Holland Lop Rabbit, Walter and two French Bulldogs, Phoebe and Stella. In her free time, Parker enjoys spending time with her family and pets, long-distance running, skiing and cooking. She loves working at NRVC because she is constantly learning something new!
Maddie
Maddie began working at North Reading Veterinary Clinic in January of 2020. At the time, Maddie was finishing up her senior year at Essex Agricultural and Technical School where she was in the veterinary science program. Currently, Maddie is attending college to fulfill her goal of becoming a certified veterinary technician. Maddie has always had pets growing up and currently shares her house with three Boxers named Shelly, Gisele, and Nova along with a Cockatiel named Good Boy. Maddie enjoys spending time with her family and pets and is always looking to learn something new!
Maria
Maria is our head receptionist. She has been working at North Reading Veterinary Clinic since 2002. Maria enjoys greeting both the people and pets that are coming into the clinic. She shares her home with Letty, a Boston Terrier and Tony, a domestic shorthaired cat. Maria enjoys spending free time with her daughter as well as scrapbooking and reading.
